STARTERS

Soup of the day

Creamy and rich leek and parsnip soup

served with croutons and a warm bread roll

 

Winter Salad

Generous slices of mature Stilton with a quartered poached pear and roasted chestnuts

on a dressed rocket salad

 

Paté

Homemade duck liver paté served with toasted ciabatta, fresh cranberry chutney

with a micro herb finish

 

MAINS

Turkey

Stuffed turkey breasts with cranberry mousse wrapped in bacon

served with all the traditional trimmings and rich herb gravy

 

Salmon

Salmon marinated in chilli and lime, oven baked and accompanied with dauphinoise potatoes

and fine green beans topped with a lemon and dill butter

 

Bistro Rump

Bistro rump rossini, grilled to your liking placed on a sweet roasted brioche with duck paté,

a garlic fondant potato, madiera sauce and fine green beans

 

Vegetarian Taglitelle

Fresh pan fried chestnuts with feta cheese and tarragon, tossed through taglitelle

and served with garlic bread

 

DESSERTS

Christmas Pudding

A rich fruity Christmas Pudding served with a brandy sauce

 

Poached Pear

Slow cooked pear marinated in homemade mulled wine

served with mince pie ice cream

 

Cheese Board

A generous piece of Stilton, cranberry Wensleydale and a very special smoked Cheddar Applewood,

served with grapes, celery and our own homemade chutney

 

Mince pie and coffee to finish

 

Christmas crackers and seasonal decorations
